Dance content is set and tailored to the age and ability of the group. We specialize in and explore Street and Contemporary dance in their various forms. Students develop valuable dance skills and theatrical understanding that, at later stages in their tuition, can assist them in GCSE, A Level or BTEC studies. At Platform we work to embrace all members with a nurturing approach and unite students in a supportive and safe working environment. Confidence is clear to see in our annual shows, variety performances, musical theatre productions and music videos and films.
In the autumn terms, dance focus is to produce and perform original choreography for the Yorkshire Dance Festival in November, communicating the theme chosen by the YSDF team.
